Craghall in Jesmond, Newcastle, is one of family-run Wellburn Care's homes. Each year, residents at Craghall choose a charity to support through various fundraising activities and events. This year, our home is supporting the wonderful Ouseburn Farm in Byker, which is the only care farm in the North East.
Our residents have already enjoyed several visits to Ouseburn Farm, where they met all of the wonderful staff and animals, and are looking forward to visiting again in the coming months. Please help us to raise as much as possible for this fantastic cause by buying a duck in our virtual duck race. One lucky duck will win a £25 Lifestyle Shopping voucher, which can be used in over 300 retailers, and there'll even be a small prize to the duck who comes last.
Ducks cost £2.50 each, and the race will run between 14th and 21st June, with the winner announced at Craghall's 'Love A Duck Day' event on Saturday 21st June.

Ouseburn Farm is a place for growing - plants, animals but most of all - people.
From their vibrant urban farm and gardens in the heart of Newcastle, Ouseburn Farm empowers people with learning disabilities to learn new life and social skills in enriching workshops, runs outdoor learning sessions for children and families, and welcomes the wider community to improve their physical and mental wellbeing from being amongst animals and nature.
The people who they support are predominantly:
- Adults with learning disabilities
- Children and young families
- Volunteers
- The wider community
They are the only care farm in the North-East, with a unique position in Newcastle's city centre. They currently support 60 adults with learning disabilities - who can face significant barriers to day-to-day life - through their Placement Programme. To find out more, visit: www.ouseburnfarm.org.uk.

Online paid entries must register their balloons 2 days before the race start date.
Postal entries are processed the same as paid entries and you will receive an email notifying you of your entry if your entry is deemed valid and arrives on or before
14 Jun 2025.
