Welcome to our Duck Race in support of Headway Southampton & West Wessex who offer support, advice and rehabilitation services to 200+ local adults with an acquired brain injury (ABI), provides support to families & carers while raising awareness of the challenges of having an ABI.
In 2023/24 there were 9,834 people across our delivery area, admitted to a local hospital with an ABI (Headway UK date), equating to 27 people a day and 1.1 person every hour. An ABI can be the result of a variety of causes, e.g., falls and accidents, head trauma, tumours, and strokes and can happen to anyone at any time in their lifetime with every ABI affecting someone differently. Coming to terms with the effects for individuals, their families, friends and carers, can be very distressing and difficult. Those with an ABI can be some of the most vulnerable within our community and can be easily hidden.
Our services are provided through our Day Centres, on-line and within community settings.
Fundraisers such as this Duck Race help us generate much needed funds as well as raise awareness of our service.
We will be offering 3 prizes on this Duck Race -
1st Prize - a £30.00 voucher of choice
2nd Prize - a £15.00 voucher of choice
3rd Prize - a mystery prize

Online paid entries must register their balloons 2 days before the race start date.
Postal entries are processed the same as paid entries and you will receive an email notifying you of your entry if your entry is deemed valid and arrives on or before
20 Jul 2025.
